And there’s no clock.

Rougie hit a walk off home-run last night (video link).

One of the things I love about baseball is that it’s a celebration of moments.  The Rangers will not make the playoffs this year.  There’s not going to be a pennant, nobody is going to kiss a trophy.

But that doesn’t matter.  Rougie homered in the bottom of the tenth, and the crowd leapt to their feet, arms raised in celebration.

It was a great moment.

    …on ESPN, I watch the scene that played out when a Father watched his son in his first big league game hit a home run as Dad was doing the interview… “We hit a home run!” exclaimed the Father… and only in baseball would such a sentence carry the weight that it does..!
