There’s something about the artwork for Nancy that has always appealed to me- this one in particular. 😀
Malcolm Young has had an amazing life. He’s been the heart and soul of one of the most successful rock bands of all time for over forty years. I’m sorry to see him step out of the limelight, particularly since it’s not on his own terms (link), but man: what a life he’s had.
The headline reads “Back-to-back bird strikes prompt new call to address danger,” and I thought, “Oh, that’s nice.” But it turns out they weren’t interested in the danger to the birds at all. They just care about their stupid planes.
Mona and I had lunch today at a restaurant we had never been to before. It had taxidermied animals on the walls in “humorous” positions. It really bothered me that they had so little respect for life that they thought it was funny to make dioramas out of their corpses. We won’t be going back.

The Andy Warhol Diaries is almost one thousand pages long, but I gave up after 13. It was a steady stream of casual sex, drug abuse, and shallow fame whoring. It bored me, and made me sad.
If you hear the phrase “that we might” or the word “lest,” you can bet somebody is talking about dead soldiers. You never hear someone say, “I bought popcorn that we might eat it, lest we want a snack.”
I hope Jay-Z and Beyonce last forever. It’s not because I’m a romantic, it’s because I know if they don’t the headline will read “Jay-Z’s 100th Problem,” and I just don’t want to see that.

One of the depressing things about the missing Malaysian airliner (besides the obvious) is that apparently the ocean is so filled with oil slicks and rafts of garbage that debris from a crashed plane just doesn’t stand out.
